Haynesworth accused of harassment

The trouble continues for Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth. According to NBC-4, a waitress claims he sexually assaulted her at a local hotel on Friday and the U.S. Attorney’s office is reviewing the evidence to see if any charges need to be made.

The police have not yet made an arrest or charged anyone in the incident.

Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck, released the following statement:

“There seems to be no truth to these allegations and we are currently evaluating the facts and considering our own legal actions against those involved.”

Redskins senior vice president Tony Wyllie said, ‘This is the first I’m hearing about this. We need to gather more information.”

On Saturday, Haynesworth turned himself in over a simple assault charge filed in Fairfax County. A driver accused Haynesworth of hitting him in the nose as he sat in his car at a red light. Haynesworth’s court date is March 31.
