NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — Police and state Department of Labor and Industry officials are investigating the fatal fall of a construction worker at a job site.
Newport News police say 40-year-old Terrence Croker, of Newport News, fell Tuesday afternoon from the fourth floor of a building under construction at the Belmont at City Center site. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
The Newport News homicide unit and the state labor department are investigating the incident.
