The Trump White House in review: Week 80

President Trump’s 80th week in office was marked by the arrival of remains of US troops in the Korean War. For decades these remains had been held by North Korea. Earlier this summer, President Trump arranged the return of the fallen troops during his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Vice President Pence welcomed the fallen at a ceremony in Hawaii.

At a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump continued his battle with the press, calling out reporters in the back and posting several tweets opposing the “fake news” media, which he’s called the “enemy of the people”.

This week, the president threatened a government shutdown if the border wall fails to be funded by Congress. Trump also continued to blast Robert Mueller’s investigation via Twitter, while his administration negotiates terms for an interview with the special counsel.
