A toddler was taken to a hospital after she nearly drowned in her Laurel home Thursday evening, officials said.
About 7:15 p.m., emergency personnel from Laurel and Howard County responded to the 1000 block of 10th Street.
The girl had been found under water in a bathtub, and family members performed CPR on her with the help of instruction from a 911 dispatcher. Medics gave the girl pre-hospital emergency care and took her to a hospital, according to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS.
The toddler was in critical condition as of Thursday evening, officials said, and Laurel police are investigating the incident.
