Two potential presidential contenders from Florida are working together to re-elect the state’s Republican governor.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio, both of whom are reportedly eyeing a 2016 run for the White House, will host a fundraiser for Gov. Rick Scott next month.
The Oct. 24 event will be headlined by Bush, Rubio and Florida Lt. Gov Carlos Lopez-Cantera at the Coral Gables Biltmore, according to a save-the-date invitation obtained by the Miami Herald.
Tickets to the lunch reception start at $250 per person. Attending the event chair luncheon after will cost $25,000.
The race for Florida governor between Scott and Democratic challenger Charlie Crist is one of the most talked about in the nation, with both steadily drawing in prominent politicians from around the nation in for support.
