    Cpl. Charles A. Graner Jr. appearing to punch one of several handcuffed detainees lying on the floor in late 2003 at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Iraq. Graner was later convicted of offenses that included stacking the prisoners into a pyramid, knocking one of them out with a head punch and ordering prisoners to masturbate while soldiers took pictures. He was released Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011 from a military prison after serving more than 6½ years of a 10-year sentence, an Army spokeswoman said.
