Trump unveils red, white, and blue redesign of Air Force One

President Trump revealed design plans for the exterior of the new Air Force One.

“Here’s your new Air Force One, and I’m doing that for other presidents and not for me,” Trump said in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos as he held up pictures of the planned plane set to be released in 2024.

The new design sports red, white, and blue painting, reminiscent of his own personal Trump plane and a change from the iconic blue and white paint that has defined the Air Force One for over 50 years. Trump was responsible for making the designs himself.

“It’s a much bigger plane, bigger wingspan. It’s a much bigger wingspan” the president bragged. “Fact. We added things, and I got $1.6 billion off the price.”

Boeing, which has provided planes for U.S. presidents for half a century, will replace the current 747-200s with a 747-8.

Trump did have to tell Stephanopoulos “there are a couple of secrets I don’t think we’re supposed to be talking about” after he was asked if the plane contained an escape pod.
