White House spokesman Ian Sams said in a statement Tuesday that the decision to schedule an impeachment hearing on Sept. 28, just two days before the deadline to fund the government for the coming fiscal year, is an effort to “distract from their own chaotic inability to govern and the impacts of it on the country.”
