A teenager was stabbed Monday afternoon near the National Zoo.
D.C. police and fire officials got several calls about a stabbing victim near the entrance on Connecticut Avenue at around 4 p.m. When rescue officials arrived, they found a teenage male suffering from multiple stab wounds outside the Parkwest Apartments, at 2929 Connecticut Ave. The teenage was taken to Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear whether the incident happend on zoo property. Zoo officials said several teenagers had been escorted from the property shortly before the incident, and the apartment is about 100 yards from the zoo entrance.
