A spokesperson for Melania Trump confirmed Tuesday the first lady will accompany President Trump on a Thursday trip to view the devastation Hurricane Irma left behind in Florida.

The White House announced during a press conference Tuesday afternoon that the president would travel south Thursday.
Mrs. Trump accompanied her husband on trips to Texas and Louisiana earlier this month after Hurricane Harvey passed through the Gulf region.
