Trump to deliver Liberty University commencement speech

President Trump will deliver the commencement address at Liberty University on May 13.

The Lynchburg, Va., university is the largest Christian college in the United States, and chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. was one of Trump’s earliest supporters in the election. He was considered as a possible education secretary in Trump’s administration after the election, but turned down the role.

Trump previously spoke at Liberty in early 2016.

Trump told CBN News he was honored to speak at the school’s commencement.

“I look forward to speaking to this amazing group of students on such a momentous occasion,” Trump told the network. “Our children truly are the future and I look forward to celebrating the success of this graduating class as well as sharing lessons as they embark on their next chapter full of hope, faith, optimism, and a passion for life.”
