NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Federal authorities say a Bridgewater woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for failing to pay taxes on more than $200,000 she embezzled from her employer.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said 42-year-old Deborah Wilmot was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in New Haven and ordered to pay restitution to the IRS. Authorities say she failed to pay $69,000 in taxes after she embezzled $221,624 from a software company where she was a bookkeeper.
