The Pentagon says an Army soldier who was injured Nov. 12 in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan died Tuesday at a Maryland hospital.

Sgt. First Class Allan E. Brown, 46, of Takoma Park, Md., died Dec. 6 at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., the Defense Department said in a news release. Brown had been serving in Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and was wounded in Bagram, Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device went off.
