NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say a teenager is suspected of fatally shooting a man in the Bronx last week.

Police said Friday they’re looking for 17-year-old Joshua Rodriguez in connection with the June 7 death of Dakim Blacknall.

Officers responding to a 911 call found Blacknall inside his Creston Avenue apartment with a gunshot wound to the back.

The 25-year-old died a short time later at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Police say a preliminary investigation found Blacknall was shot outside the apartment and then brought inside.

They described Rodriguez as 5-foot-7 and about 170 pounds.

They asked people with information about the case or Rodriguez’s whereabouts to contact 1-800-577-TIPS.
