After their tribute to Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones at the Democratic convention, Democrats paid video homage to their friends who had died since the last convention. The list included Rep. Bob Matsui, D-Ca., Sen. Owell Hefflin, D-Ala., Sen. Howard Metzenbaum D-Ohio, Included in the loop were only three non-politicians: Bush-loathing columnist Molly Ivins, former ABC news anchor Peter Jennings, and NBC political patriarch Tim Russert.
