One man died and two others were severely injured in the 20th fatal crash in Fairfax County this year. The accident occurred Saturday around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Braddock and Twinbrook roads when a 63-year-old woman turned left from Braddock Road in front of two motorcycles travelling in the opposite direction. Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, according to police.

The two male drivers and a female passenger were all transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where William Tyler Cowherd, 45, of Annandale, later died. The 44-year-old Annandale woman who was riding with Cowherd and the other motorcyclist, a 50-year-old Manassas man, are expected to survive.
