He said, she said: Why D.C.’s gas station monopolies bill got delayed

A bill that seeks to force a gas station owner in the District out of owning and operating his stations was delayed this week in the D.C. Counci,l which led to a little excercise in finger pointing.

The bill, sponsored by Ward 3 Councilwoman Mary Cheh essentially targets the city’s gas station mogul, Joe Mamo, who owns nearly half of the city’s filling stations.
