Former CIA Director John Brennan’s Wikipedia page was edited to describe the ex-spy chief in unflattering terms one day after he criticized President Trump for the statements he made that undermined his own intelligence officials.
“Instead, Brennan was appointed Deputy National Security Advisor, a position which did not require Senate confirmation,” the page stated. “[He] is now best known as an irrelevant, silly old fart who spends his days in his favourite slippers tweeting furiously about the Trump administration.”

The edits were live for about nine minutes before the page was reverted back to its original text. The note accompanying the modifications referred to the amendments as having “added some home truths.”
Brennan condemned President Trump on Monday, categorizing comments he made alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin during a press conference convened after their first official bilateral meetings in Helsinki as “nothing short of treasonous.” Trump had said he was yet to see any compelling evidence Kremlin-linked operatives interfered in the 2016 election, contradicting assessments made by U.S. intelligence officials.

Trump responded on Tuesday by calling Brennan “a very bad guy.”
“If you look at it, a lot of things happened under his watch. I think he’s a very bad person,” Trump told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in a pre-recorded interview to be aired in full Tuesday.
Though a staunch critic of Trump, Brennan — now a senior national security and intelligence analyst for MSNBC and NBC — has served both Democratic and Republican presidents.
Brennan was CIA director from March 2013 to January 2017 under former President Barack Obama, but was also acting director of the National Counterterrorism Center from 2004 to 2005 during the George W. Bush administration.
In addition, he worked as a CIA analyst under the George H.W. Bush presidency and gave former President Bill Clinton his daily intelligence briefing.
