Vt. Lake Champlain museum chief moving to St. J.

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) — The co-director of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is going to become the executive director of the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium in the northeastern Vermont town of St. Johnsbury.

The departure of Adam Kane from the Maritime Museum was announced Thursday.

Kane is going to start of the Fairbanks Museum on Sept. 1.

The Fairbanks Museum was founded in 1889.

It has about 175,000 artifacts and specimens representing Vermont and places across the world. The museum also has Vermont’s only public planetarium.
