Hillary Clinton hopes to strike terror into the hearts of readers with the release of her new book.

The former secretary of state is teaming up with bestselling author Louise Penny to write a fictional thriller about a secretary of state who joins the administration of her rival and is subsequently faced with a series of terrorist attacks. Simon & Schuster, which will jointly publish the book along with St. Martin’s Press on Oct. 12, called the book a “high-stakes thriller of international intrigue” in its press release.
