CLEVELAND — Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge took direct aim at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Tuesday night during her speech before Republican National Convention.
“Sometimes, Hillary Clinton speaks with a New York accent. Sometimes, an Arkansas accent,” Rudledge said from the outset of her five-minute-long address.

“But y’all — this is what a real Arkansas woman sounds like,” she said.
Rutledge also ripped the presumptive Democratic nominee for her time in Arkansas, saying she left shortly after former President Clinton won the White House in 1992 and never returned.
“Hillary may not know where she’s from, but Arkansans know exactly who she is,” Rutledge said.
Rutledge, who became the state’s attorney general after winning election in 2014, is also attending the convention as a delegate supporting Donald Trump, who formally won the Republican nomination on Tuesday.
