WESTERN, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a body found in a central New York lake is believed to be that of a 32-year-old man who disappeared while trying to save his teenage stepson.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office tells local media that a patrol boat crew found the body early Sunday morning on Delta Lake, just north of Rome, New York. Deputies believe it’s that of 32-year-old William Cook of Camden, who was last seen on the lake on Memorial day.
