Kellyanne Conway: Clinton gets off easy with ‘incomplete’ media coverage

Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway expressed frustration Monday on the amount of media coverage that Trump gets compared to Hillary Clinton, saying the Democratic candidate gets off easy with “incomplete coverage.”

“We just want more coverage of her,” Conway told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “There are plenty of things to run about her and plenty of questions to ask even if she won’t come to the cameras like he does.”

Conway criticized Clinton’s strategy of hiding from the public, which she attributed to people not being “reminded how much they don’t like her and don’t trust her.”

While Conway made it clear that she did not agree with Trump making fun of his accusers’ appearance, she defended him stating that he was acting out of frustration.

“Nobody has ever been treated like Donald Trump is being treated,” she said, pointing to the mainstream media. “He’s very frustrated and he has a right to speak his mind.”

When asked about the new CNN poll that showed Trump ahead of Clinton in Ohio, Conway again focused on the media coverage that Trump has been getting.

“We’re thrilled to see those battleground polls Wolf, not the least of which is because we feel like we get an anvil dropped on our head every day,” Conway said. “Hillary Clinton gets a free pass and yet the voters are seeing right through that.”
