SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) — Towers of black smoke could be seen for miles around as a commercial warehouse with chemicals inside burned for hours in southern Los Angeles County.

Both county and local firefighters were taking on the four-alarm blaze that was causing small explosions late Saturday afternoon in Santa Fe Springs.

City News Service reports that hazardous materials teams spent several hours at the scene and the blaze was still burning hours after it started.

There have been no reports of any injuries or evacuations.
