Prince George’s County Police arrested a 23-year-old man they say tried to burn a house down to kill a Lanham family.
Deanthony Nathan Bagley, of Seat Pleasant, was charged with five counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of assault and six counts of arson.
Police said Bagley, a half brother of one of the family members, threw a Molotov cocktail into the second story of a house while the family of six slept. It happened shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
A 32-year-old male awoke, saw Bagley in the house, and a struggle ensued. Bagley used a knife to cut the man but was struck with an object by a female resident and he fled.
