WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 100 employees of the aerospace company Boeing are volunteering their time to clean up the National Mall.
The Boeing Company says it is partnering with the Trust for the National Mall for a service day on Saturday. Boeing employees will help paint posts and chains and stain park benches around the World War II Memorial and surrounding areas. They’ll also weed and add mulch around the World War II Memorial and Constitution Gardens.
Boeing is headquartered in Chicago and employs more than 170,000 people across the United States and in 70 countries.
More than 25 million people visit the National Mall annually.
