Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who sparred with President Trump during the 2016 Republican primaries, on Sunday criticized the Trump administration’s executive order restricting immigration from a number of majority-Muslim countries, saying: “This order should be replaced with a more thoughtful approach consistent with our values.”

“We must strengthen our nation’s security through well thought out and constructed plans,” Kasich said. “The latest executive order is neither. Proper coordination with implementing agencies and our allies was missing.”
Trump, saying he’s protecting national security, on Friday announced an executive order that temporarily restricts immigration from “countries of particular concern,” including Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen for 90 days.
The order also suspended the flow of Syrian refugees into the country.
