SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies say a resident shot and killed an intruder who broke into a Sarasota home.
The shooting occurred before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Deputies called to the home found the man deceased inside the home.
The sheriff’s office hasn’t released the names of the intruder or the homeowner.
An investigation continues.
