Toddler dies after falling from window in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Va. (AP) — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says a 3-year-old boy has died after falling from the third-story window of his home in Leesburg.

Authorities say the boy fell from a home on Raspberry Drive shortly after noon Sunday. Liz Mills, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, says the fall was an accident.

The boy was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died shortly after 1 p.m. Monday.

Authorities have not released the name of the child.
