President Trump lambasted Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Wednesday for using a private jet to travel to campaign events within the state of Missouri after she told voters she was using an RV to get around.
“Senator Claire McCaskill of the GREAT State of Missouri flew around in a luxurious private jet during her RV tour of the state. RV’s are not for her. People are really upset, so phony! Josh Hawley should win big, and has my full endorsement,” Trump tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, the incumbent senator admitted to having used a private plane to travel between stops during her three-day RV tour.
“I added some stops with the use of the plane, but I was on the RV so much that the broken door drove me crazy,” McCaskill said. “I even lost an iPad around a corner on the RV.”
However, last August McCaskill was criticized for calling it “normal” that she could afford a million-dollar private jet. In 2012, records show she used taxpayer money to pay for nearly 90 private plane flights.
The National Republican Senate Committee made light of the situation Wednesday when it launched a website called FlyAirClaire.com, which allows users to fly a hybrid of the RV and airplane similar to the Flappy Bird game.
