One woman was fatally wounded and a man and another woman are in cricitical condition from stab wounds after a domestic dispute in Centreville on Monday, Fairfax County police said.
Police were called to an apartment in the 13800 block of Braddock Springs Road at about 5:30 a.m. Monday and found the three suffering from apparent stab wounds.
A 49-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The others were taken to transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the three all knew each other and the incident was contained within the apartment. There were no suspects at large.
This is the fifth homicide in Fairfax County in 2001, the same as last year at this time.
