RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Department of Corrections said Friday that it has added a new drug to be used in executions to replace one that is in short supply nationwide.
In a one-sentence statement, the department said rocuronium bromide can now be used in the lethal injection cocktail as an alternative to the nationally scarce pancuronium bromide.
