<br/></div> <p>A District Heights shooting Thursday afternoon marked the first homicide of the year in Prince George’s County.</p> <p>Police responding to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Brooks Drive at 2:18 p.m. found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot at the Oakcrest Towers, according to Cpl. Larry Johnson, police spokesman.</p> <p>The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified the body, and are searching for a motive and suspects, Johnson said.</p> <p>Homicide detectives are at the scene.</p> <p>The homicide was the county’s first in 2012, just one year after a rash of killings shook Prince George’s last January – seven were killed in the first six days of 2011.</p>
