President Trump said Sunday that North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un is “acting very, very badly,” less than a day after the country claimed to have tested a new high-thrust missile.
Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he discussed North Korea’s missile activity in meetings over the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
“He’s acting very very badly,” the president said of Kim Jong Un.
The president’s comment comes 24 hours after a North Korean news agency reported that the county’s leader had tested a series of new rockets. He later told the paper that the “whole world will soon witness what eventful significance the great victory won today carries.”
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said earlier this week that the U.S. will not tolerate North Korea’s aggression and would even consider the nuclearization of American allies in East Asia to deter Kim Jong Un.
