SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (AP) — Sebastopol authorities are investigating a marijuana farm where deputies seized $1.42 million in cash, and more than 1,400 pieces of gold and silver.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/1wf22fX ) Thursday deputies found indoor and outdoor marijuana plants, $1.42 million in small bills, and 1,421 gold and silver pieces.
Search warrant documents show firefighters were called to a house with numerous outbuildings where some marijuana plants were burning. They summoned Sebastopol deputies who seized the cash and precious metal.
Authorities also found hundreds of pounds of processed marijuana, a scale, several cellphones and written records during the August search of the property.
No one has been charged in the case.
