The city of angels has unholy gas prices.
Los Angeles became the first major city in the United States to see its gas prices average out to $6 Tuesday, according to a report.
Motorists in Los Angeles are filling their tanks at roughly $6 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.

Oil prices and the war in Ukraine are major reasons for the spike, but refinery troubles in California are also to blame for the rising prices in the city, the report noted.
Employees at the Bay Area Chevron refinery have gone on strike, and the company has been forced to find a significant number of replacement workers, according to the report.
A $400 gas rebate was proposed last week for California taxpayers by the states’ Democratic lawmakers.
Close to $9 billion of California’s budget surplus would be used to fund the rebate, according to the report.
The rebate would cover the state’s 51.1-cent-per-gallon gas tax for cars with 15-gallon gas tanks.

It would remain in place for a year, and every filer would get the rebate, regardless of whether the person owns or drives a vehicle.
