Lockdown at DC’s Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling lifted after suspect’s arrest

Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. was taken off of lockdown Friday afternoon after a suspect who ran onto the base was detained.

Military leadership on the base said the unidentified suspect, who had no apparent connection to the base, was captured at approximately 2:45 p.m. and would be turned over to D.C. police.
