JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Managers of the Bridger-Teton National Forest plan to conduct prescribed burns this spring and say that area residents should expect to see smoke.

The purpose of the burns in the Jackson and Buffalo Ranger Districts is to reduce fuels near where people live. Smoke may persist for several days in mountain valleys during evening and early morning hours.
