While Sen. Bernie Sanders was claiming victory in the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary, a massive workers union in Nevada was warning members against supporting his bid.

The Culinary Union of Nevada, which represents 60,000 workers, including most of the state’s gaming, hotel, and food-service industries employees, sent a message to members breaking down each candidates’ position on the issues. The union noted that Sanders would “end Culinary Healthcare” and “require Medicare for All.”

The union hit Sanders with the harshest language. When describing Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s “Medicare for all” proposal, it claimed she would “replace Culinary Healthcare after three-year transition or at the end of collective bargaining arguments.” The pamphlet claimed that fellow contenders Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar would all “protect Culinary Healthcare.”

The Culinary Union provides insurance to 130,000 workers and their families in Nevada under its Culinary Health Fund, which is considered one of the best providers in the state, according to the Nevada Independent. The union has yet to make an official endorsement of any candidate ahead of the state’s Feb. 22 caucuses.

This was the second time the union criticized candidates for supporting “Medicare for all” proposals that would abolish private insurance. It previously wrote in a flyer, “We will not hand over our healthcare for promises.”

Beyond jabbing Sanders, the union trashed President Trump for not supporting unions and for working to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and to cut illegal immigration.

The RealClearPolitics polling average shows Biden leading Sanders by 3.5 points in Nevada, but the latest poll conducted in the state is from early January and does not reflect the effect of the Iowa and New Hampshire elections. Biden landed in fourth place in Iowa and fifth place in New Hampshire. Sanders won the popular vote in both states.
