Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst said on Monday that she had a “good conversation” with Donald Trump, promising that she would continue to share her thoughts with him.

“Iowans are frustrated by the current direction of our country,” the freshman Republican senator said in a statement. “We simply cannot afford to continue these failed policies under Hillary Clinton.
