Tucker Carlson said on Wednesday night on Fox News that CNN host Chris Cuomo either didn’t read the 476-page inspector general report on the origin of the Trump-Russia investigation or is a “pathological liar.”
Carlson slammed CNN for their reporting on the investigation into Russian election interference and subsequent coverage of the inspector general report by Michael Horowitz, which was released this week.
In a clip from CNN, Cuomo and network colleague Don Lemon gave summaries of the report that contradict the president’s summary. Trump alleged he was a victim of Russian interference, not a collaborator. “He’s lying to you,” Cuomo said of Trump in the clip.
“Unless he is a pathological liar, Cuomo didn’t read actually read the IG report. He couldn’t have,” Carlson said. “Otherwise, he would not be able to sit in a television studio, stare into the camera, and pretend that the Justice Department’s inspector general just confirmed what CNN has been telling you for three years.”
