Greg Gutfeld demands retraction after reporter claims The Five didn’t take coronavirus seriously

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld fired back at a Media Matters reporter after the reporter accused The Five of not taking the coronavirus seriously back in January.

“Greg Gutfeld says Fox’s ‘The Five’ sounded the alarm on coronavirus back in January……BUT he’s lying,” Media Matters’s Andrew Lawrence tweeted.

“This media matters is deliberately lying,” Gutfeld responded. “He could easily have checked but didn’t. See my pinned tweet now and demand he retract.”

Gutfeld then pinned a tweet to the top of his Twitter page that showed him discussing the virus in January.

Gutfeld called for a retraction from Media Matters with another tweet directed at Lawrence.

“Hey @ndrew_lawrence. Care to comment. We covered the virus early and often. Retract now”

Gutfeld also made headlines Monday for defending MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, who was mocked for talking about the Bible during a Rose Garden event. Lindell said his company is manufacturing surgical masks to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

“When you start producing 50 thousand masks a day you can go up to the podium too In the meantime sit on your fence and keep your thumb up your ass,” Gutfeld told MSNBC’s Ali Velshi.
