A Silver Spring man has been charged in a scheme to steal credit card information from customers at area restaurants.
Federal investigators said Sidiky Bayakoko, who worked at the Sushi Ko Restaurant, at 5444 Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase and the Rock Creek Restaurant at 5300 Wisconsin in D.C., admitted to working with at least two conspirators.
According to charging documents, the trio used a device that captured credit card account information from customers, which was then used to create fraudulent credit cards and ring up thousands of dollars in illegal purchases from area stores.
