Amid the debate over whether John Bolton will testify about Ukraine in President Trump’s Senate impeachment trial, a new report revealed he will open up about the matter in a forthcoming book.
Trump’s former national security adviser is nearing the completion of his book, which is expected to expand on “at least some of what he saw” in regards to Trump pressuring Ukraine to announce an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, according to the New York Times.

The book, published by Simon & Schuster, will also touch on controversies related to Russia and Venezuela, and some top Trump officials are said to be subject to unkind descriptions.
Bolton’s former aide, Fiona Hill, testified that Bolton opposed the Ukraine pressure campaign, saying he wanted no part of what he described as a “drug deal” that fellow Trump administration officials were “cooking up.”
Bolton, who left the White House in September — Trump said he was fired, while Bolton said he quit — announced last week he is willing to testify in the Senate impeachment trial if called by lawmakers.
The Senate is poised to consider calling witnesses, which could include Bolton, after the House has sent two articles of impeachment over to the upper chamber.
Trump, who is charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, indicated last week he might use executive privilege to block Bolton from speaking.
