Former Mexico President Vicente Fox extended an olive branch to Donald Trump on Wednesday by inviting him to visit Mexico, on the same day Trump essentially won the Republican nomination for president.
“I think it’s very important to invite Donald Trump to come to Mexico and to learn about the real Mexico,” Fox said on “The O’Reilly Factor” Wednesday night.

In February, Fox said that Mexico would not pay for Trump’s “f——— wall,” which sparked a war of words between the two.
Since then, Fox has warmed up to Trump.
Earlier on Wednesday he apologized to the Republican front-runner, telling Breitbart, “If I offended you, I’m sorry. But what about the other way around?”
“For instance, I was listening that he says Mexico deserves punishment because of the deficit United States has on the trade balance with Mexico which, yes, he is right. It’s $50 billion. But does he know that the deficit with China is $400 billion?” Fox explained Wednesday night.
In addition to calling immigrants from Mexico rapists, Trump told the New York Times that Mexico will pay for that wall on their border with the United States, something that will be designed within his first 100 days in office.
Fox also told Fox’s Megyn Kelly that he thinks the U.S. and Mexico could work together to design a better border fence.
