Bad Night for the PC Scolds

If you were a member of the Church of Political Correctness and watching ESPN’s Monday Night Football last night (say someone had tied you to a chair and forced it upon you) … well for whom would you have been rooting?

Hard to pull for the Cowboys.  The name is gender insensitive, right off.  All that John Wayne business. And, then, the actual team is an essential piece of Dallas, Texas, a city that stands for all sorts of evils, not least of which is oil.

Easy to take the team from Washington, right.  The city of government and rules.  But, then, the name of the team from Washington is so culturally insensitive that it cannot be spoken aloud or spelled out completely. Impossible to pull for the R*ds**ns.  Especially when their quarterback is a man named “Colt” who comes from Texas.

Final score: 20-17. The bad guys won. And lost.
