‘Scrubs’ actor Zach Braff begs to play Stephen Miller on ‘SNL’

Zach Braff is gunning for a gig on “Saturday Night Live.”

The 42-year-old actor of “Scrubs” fame pleaded with “SNL” creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels on Wednesday for the opportunity to play White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller on the late-night comedy sketch show.

“Dear Lorne Michaels, I can do this. Put me in Coach,” Braff tweeted.

Though a constant force behind the scenes of the Trump campaign, Miller stole the spotlight at Tuesday’s press briefing when he got into an antagonistic exchange with CNN’s senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta over proposed immigration reforms.

But the odds that Braff will be cast are long, with “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus telling the Hollywood Reporter the team received a lot of unsolicited pitches.

In February, for example, comedian Rosie O’Donnell offered to impersonate White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

“Casting has to make sense,” Shookus said. “You don’t want to make a splash to make a splash. That’s not what we do.”
