Ivanka Trump receives Secret Service protection

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump, has started to receive protection from the United States Secret Service.

A spokeswoman for the Secret Service confirmed to the Washington Examiner that Trump began using protection from the Secret Service on Monday morning. Previously, Donald and Melania Trump were the only ones in their family to have protection.

She is now the second child of the presidential candidates to receive such protection. Chelsea Clinton began receiving protection last week.

The news also comes as Ivanka Trump becomes a more visible presence on the campaign trail for her father. Last week, she introduced him prior to his speech revealing his plan for child care.
