Nebraska’s Cooper nuke plant celebrates 40th year

BROWNVILLE, Neb. (AP) — The Cooper nuclear plant in southeast Nebraska recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The Nebraska Public Power District, which owns the plant near Brownville, said Cooper plays an important role in supplying electricity to the state.
