AUBURN, N.Y. (AP) — A central New York group that’s trying to prevent the sale of a local museum’s valuable painting is planning to hold a public meeting next week.

The newly formed Seward Legacy Preservation will hold its meeting Monday night at the Auburn Public Theater. The group’s members include descendants of William H. Seward, secretary of state for President Abraham Lincoln.
